Welcome to the Pollinator Path

At Portsmouth AgInnovation Farm

We invite you to explore and take a peek at what is growing in our gardens as you enjoy the beauty of this restored habitat. As you walk, you will discover the importance of pollination and the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystem.

The Portsmouth AgInnovation Farm is located on Jepson Road in Portsmouth, RI - about one mile north of Oliphant Road.

History of the Farm

In 2019, the Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District (ERICD) and Portsmouth Middle School (PMS) teamed up to establish the Portsmouth AgInnovation Farm. The idea for this outdoor laboratory was generated by Portsmouth Middle School students during an after-school program. They laid the groundwork for the components of this site and continue to be the driving force behind what is now 5 acres of farmland and pollinator habitat.
