Every community is unique. The strategy to propose, structure, and pass a stormwater utility must be unique as well. We'll discuss two communities in eastern Massachusetts, their stormwater utility fee structures, and their journey from an idea to a funded public program. 

Hillary Waite, Presenter

Join us for our next East Bay GIC Meeting on July 25 at 10:00AM. We will welcome guest speaker, Hillary Waite. 

Waite is the Stormwater Manager for the Town of Braintree. The Stormwater Division oversees Braintree’s drainage system, the stormwater enterprise fund, the Town’s MS4 permit, water quality grants, and related programs and projects. She is also the Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Statewide Stormwater Coalition. 

After starting her environmental career at the US Environmental Protection Agency, she worked for the Town of Milton as their Environmental Coordinator and as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Select Board. An accomplished water quality and regulatory professional, she has a BA in Environmental Analysis and Policy and an MA in Energy and Environment from Boston University.
